I’ve heard so many stories of people who use AI in their art getting death threats spammed at them like “We need to kill AI artist”, people openly calling for harassment and bullying, brigading and pushing them out of any space where they try to just exist and want to be left alone.
Was all that just r/DefendingAIArt, intentionally or not, shining a spotlight on the worst of the worst and making the issue seem much more intense than it actually is?
If you have issues with the technology, fine. I just don’t wanna see people bullied or threatened over their use of a tool.
